Abstract

This research analyzes Indonesia's cultural diplomacy strategy through the implementation of the Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) program in Australia in the 2021-2023 period. Cultural diplomacy is an important tool in strengthening international relations, and the BIPA program is a means of introducing Indonesian language and culture to the international community. This research uses the concepts of cultural diplomacy, Soft power and language internationalization with qualitative descriptive research methods. The results of this research show the teacher-learner connection strategy in the BIPA program, the BIPA program's consistent teaching strategy and the digital-based learning innovation strategy. The more effective cultural diplomacy strategy implemented by the Indonesian government in the BIPA program is a connection strategy that builds strong connections between teachers, participants and the Indonesian cultural environment, which is successful in increasing cross-cultural understanding and facilitating in-depth interactions.
