Sriwijaya Journal of International Relations (SJIR) — ISSN 2963-6108 (print) | ISSN 2963-4865 (online) — is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal managed and published by the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Sriwijaya.
SJIR serves as a scholarly platform for the dissemination of original research, theoretical explorations, and critical reflections in the field of international relations and global studies. The journal primarily welcomes articles addressing diverse themes such as foreign policy and diplomacy; security issues; conflict resolution; global political economy; regionalism; global governance; and global civil society. Particular emphasis is placed on research that explores Indonesia’s role and position in regional and global affairs, with the aim of advancing inclusive, empirical, and critical perspectives.
Currently, SJIR is indexed in GARUDA, Google Scholar, and Dimensions, and is committed to increasing its visibility and impact through reputable academic databases. The journal is in preparation for national accreditation (SINTA) by the Ministry of Research and Technology, with submission scheduled for August 2025.
SJIR is also in the process of establishing an institutional collaboration with the Indonesian Association for International Relations Studies (AIHII), in order to strengthen its academic network and research contributions.
The journal is open to both early-career and established scholars, and aspires to be a credible, accessible, and high-quality forum for academic dialogue within the broader fields of international relations and political science.
