Through this research, the question is how the interaction created by ethnocentric phenomena with values is brought by K-Pop in a cosmopolitanism circle. Referring to the rejection of foreign cultures from ethnocentric in Indonesia, the author argues that there are two types of interactions First, the ethnocentrism held by ethnicities does not affect K-Pop cosmopolitanism. Second, religious groups with ethnocentric views resist K-Pop. They have a social media strategy to attack the K-Pop cosmopolitanism that is formed through the internet. By using the framework of interaction between identities in constructivism and musical cosmopolitanism, the writer finds two crucial things. First, the interaction of ethnicity or ethnicity with K-Pop is not very significant because K-Pop is spread by internet media. Second, the ethnocentrism of Islamic groups resisting K-Pop affects the phenomenon of musical cosmopolitanism that can be formed. The ethnocentrism of the Islamic community leads to more vigilant behavior towards differences in values, norms, and beliefs. The result is an aggressive nature towards new identities, much like K-Pop. However, there are some small sections of the Islamic community that choose to be flexible by filtering the values in K-Pop so that they do not conflict with their identity.
